Recent Papers by William Silvert

The following list covers only publications in the fields of fisheries, ecology, and systems theory, starting in 1977. A list of approximately 40 earlier papers on physics is available on request, as is a more complete listing of recent papers including internal reports.

A shorter listing of the more important papers listed by topic is also available.

Some papers are available as downloadable Adobe PDF files, those are available here. Because PDF files are added to this list regularly you may find some PDFs in this listing that are not shown as available in the list below. Some physics papers are listed there as well.

Papers on Fisheries and Marine Ecology

During the 1960's and the first half of the 1970's Bill Silvert worked in physics. Just a representative few of these papers are listed on this server. He moved from the Dalhousie University Physics Department to the Dalhousie Institute of Oceanography in 1975 and began work at Bedford Institute of Oceanography in 1978. The papers that he started working on after 1975 are listed below. If you are not interested in the earlier papers you can jump to 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 or 2006.

Many of the following papers are associated with talks, and for recent talks there are frequently PowerPoint presentations available for download. These are listed on a separate page. Some reports and presentations for recent courses are available on a separate website devoted to modelling.

Note that if you follow any of the links to see the text or abstract of a paper you will probably need to use the back arrow to get back to this page.
